it sucked! Its my own fualt though.... Basically I have to start with Friday morning....wait MONDAY when i dropped the Steamer off for the roll cage i had hoped i would need. Dropped it off....got it back Friday....it was late but done RIGHT. Its sweet...hope someone posts some pics as I have not yet gotton around to taking any. I worked all through last weekend taking my sweet ass time making sure I did a really good job installing the NOS and the Racelogik. I ended up loosing Saturday which put me behind...due to rain (lack of space...my garage is pretty small now) so i ended up scrambeling at the last minute. OK now to Friday....cage dude had family in this week so it was bad for him to rush a job...and for quality work...i will wait. But he ended up not getting done until 1 PM Friday...and I still had to wire in the main harness for the TC and make sure everything worked...not good at ALL! As usuall Mr. Dupree helped out by running the main NOS line while SPOTZ and I went on a couple of 2 hour parts runs and SPOTZ worked the magic with the solder connections on the TC. We ended up finishing at around 9:30 last night LOL still not having the TC even programmed and I got to run NOS on 10 PSI. Needless to say....i was very stressed....beside that I had to ship some crap and work was calling me every 5 minutes (LOTS OF STRESS) on my day off. Not a good day. Get to Bakersfeild at about 1 am last night....said hi to some of the NorCal guys who had arrived (nice to meet those I had not met B4) and had some beers with my boy Jeremy who had jpoined me and FELIX23 (Mr. Bass - o - matic). Sleep for a few wake up with a Jack and the crack egg, ham and a bun and got to the track. My first run was about what I expected....13.0 at 116 or something....i knew Id blow the first one...bogged it bad...AND spun the tires in 3 of 4 gears almost all the way dowen the track. Second run was worse...more wheel spin with a worse luanch...13.2...NOT GOOD! I had the NOS OFF as my goal was to sort out traction....then juice it...then get the TC going and make a few nice runs. Yea right. The track was HORRIBLE! I mean HOOOOOOORRRRRRIBLE. I was running on the Nittos which were not hooking up at all. I was getting scary sideways in 2nd and 3rd was like driving during an earthquake....the thing was spinning all over the track. So my 3rd run I ran a 12.877 @ 119.....lettine better burn out which translated to a little more traction. It was after this run though I learned my right tire was not spinning as much as the left...thus it was not getting as hot.....ugggg. Well I thought things would go better....next run I missed 2nd and bumped the rev limiter so i just cruised....it was all downhill. I ran either a 13.0 or 13.2 between 116-119 spinning all the way down the track except for 4rth which pulled so hard.... The problem was....I should have gone ahead and bought some slicks....NO ONE with DR's was getting any sort of traction....ZOHOUND....had a GREAT MPH run....hell tell you all about that. I beleive my car has that in it....and ill get it there. Not this time....but maybe next.... NOW for the good stuff. I finallly got my TC going...only the luanch control was working....didn't have the traction control portion set-up so it would not cut the power or eliminate wheel spin after the luanch BUT----i took it out to the street OH MY GOD it luanches dam hard. Cant wait to get it all dial in....it sounds friggin cool too! Going to be my favorite mod im sure! If you dont have one....GET ONE! It so far seems very awesome! Never did use the NOS as it would have pointless....on the way home made some 15 PSI runs with it....holly jesus...its fun! So....it sucked EVERYONE was having traction problems but we all had a dam good time. Id like to Thank FELIX23 who put COUNTLESS hours into helping me get ready...man we worked hard Spotz for helping me yesterday and today witht he TC and NOS stuff Greg D who...as always was there for us all....even if he didn;t get to run his car.
